Here are our cards for CCC in July. I cut 'joy' out from the Cricut in patterned paper.

Gave each of the girls strips of coordinating green/red patterned paper and had them create the background. A red snowflake is an option for the 'o'. Then, we made a classic Christmas card using the Holy Triptych Stamp set. Embossed rejoice in silver and punched the edges. simple and beautiful!

Here are our cards from CCC in August. I took it up a notch from last months cards. I'm loving Stampin' Up's new Rich Razzleberry color and have used it on both of the cards for this month. I made a Gift Card Holder Card - Matchbook Style. LOVE IT! Then, I used a masking technique for the ornament card with the Tree Trimmings Stamp Set. I hope you think it's as gorgeous as I do! MOMS Club Scrapbook Group

So, I'm the Scrapbooking Chairmom for my MOMS Club and I'm super excited because this is the first month that I'm hosting. The theme is Orange and Buttons. The ladies and kiddos are coming over on Thursday and I wanted to have my page done just in case someone else needed assistance on their page. Anyway, I had a great time using this theme and I created a super cute page for Savannah's book. I made lollipop flowers with a button in the middle of each and created a little garden at the bottom of the page symbolizing our girl growing like a flower. She's walking now so I got a few pics of her pitter pattering and titled the page you guessed it - pitter patter. Too Cute! Hope you take a little inspiration from my page. Smooches! Amy

Wish Entry for Mind Wide Open Blog

Love this months pic, the inspiration word is "wish". How do you grant a wish? By waving your beautiful magic wand, of course!

I cut an extra large wand from pink paper then, stamped fleur de lis's all over with Vanilla Ink, embossed with metallic powder. I painted here and there the star and image with pink paint (the same pink I painted the wand handle with) I added copper glitter around the egdes. I added a pretty gold star wand, polka dotted butterflies, crinkled crepe paper edging and the word wish. Tied the wand with pretty ribbons and pearls. Et Voila!

This was such a fun page to create. I love the combination of Orange and Purple. I cut out 3 inch squares, roughed the edges and layered them. Love the glittered butterfly too!

I was having so much fun adding pages to Savvy's scrapbook that my book felt a little neglected so, I found this great pic of me and my sweetie and made a page for our book. This is one of my fav pics of us. It was taken at a friends wedding that was outside in a beautiful vineyard. What a beautifully captured us.

I had so much fun creating this page. All I knew was that it was going to be glittery and vibrant just like us! I added chunky glitter here and there all over the page and also added tattered velvet to frame the text. So Sassy!

Fun Card Challenge

On Paper Therapy there is a challenge posted to design a card with layered cardstock and paper but, your stamped images can't be on cardstock or paper. Very Interesting! I took a clear pocket from my scrapbook and cut it to size and stamped on it with Brown Staz-On. Then layered cardstock (spiral punched) underneath it. My newest craft addiction is lollipop flowers so, I made a few and attached them on top of the clear film. I attached some ribbon through the spiral holes and tied a little bow. Et Voila!

Our Treat box - It was filled with Jordan Almonds but, you know those don't last long.

Love these new textured papers that they have. We died the flower with a re-inker. Fun and a little messy. That's the best kind of craftin'!

Super cute 3-D butterfly. We decided that if you glue your wings on a little crooked that you can add another piece in the middle and make a flower. either way they are cute! We punched the 'wings' out with a heart punch then folded and layered.

Kathy is really using her BIG Shot for lots of fun stuff. These are cards that hold gift cards inside.

I made Savvy's invitations for her 1st Birthday. We're going to have the party in the park so, I wanted an outdoor vibe with cutsie butterflies and such. Simple, colorful and feminine.

I cut the flowers out with the Cricut - Love that you can enter a quantity and then hit cut and @ a minute later they're done. Fabulous!

I crimped green strips for the grass then cut little patches and fluffed them for texture.

Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday to me!

My sweetie got me the BIG Cricut Expression for my Birthday - Love It! I had the personal cricut before (6x12) and it was fabulous but, this one's got moxie! It's like computerized and stuff! It can cut 12x23.5 - I'm not even standing it - Woo Hoo!!

AND for our Anniversary my sweetie took a trip to Hobby Lobby and got me a Xyron Sticker maker. I think he was inspired to invest in that after a little fiasco he had with making my birthday card. The adhesive isn't so easy to put on the tiny letters. Worked out for me! Thanks lovie for my crafty goodies! I'm so spoiled. Tee hee hee.

I got glitter! My good friend Kathy who is also my Stampin' Up! lady gave me this fabulous Cosmo glitter for my birthday - Yipee! Glitter is a girls best friend! Thanks Kathy!

February - Mind Wide Open Entry

Each month http://www.mind-wideopen.blogspot.com/ has a project competition. The image posts on the 1st and everyone has until the 7th at midnight to send in a pic of their artwork. This months tag word was dream. I had loads of fun being artsy fartsy. I had this old bottle sitting in the craft room for awhile and I chose to decorate it. I filled the inside with metallic painted tissue paper, Paper shreds and twirls of all different textures, patterns and colors and of course sprinkled some glitter in. The outside was done and redone. I couldn't quite make up my mind on using the transluscent image that I first printed or a more opaque tattered one. Well, I went with the more opaque. I added some wire, beads and little ties of ribbon. I love my ribbon! I made little charms by printing the image and the words dream and believe on shrinky dink paper and attached them to the wire. A few butterflies, pearls and a little pink tulle then, I topped it off with a decorated star reading ' never bottle your dreams for they will become lost forever' and my master piece is complete. Just like shopping or chatting online is a release for some women, art is a release for me. I love to block out some time and create. I love being amongst my artsy fartsy things and putter around. Whether it be to make a card for someone or to straighten my ribbon. It is so important to my mental health. I can't explain it. It makes me feel so lovely. Here are a few of my favorite sites. January Challenge from Mind Wide Open ...

Holy Cow - It's been so long since I've sat down to create for the heck of it. I found this fabulous site that has a monthly creativity challenge and I decided to enter. Here's my art piece....

October Stamp Group Project - Fall Colors Card/Embossed Metal

There are lots of different steps to this project so instead of typing them all out I'm going to highlight the newest technique - Embossed metal... With your Versamark Pad stamp on white (any color really) cardstock. Then emboss with gold metallic powder. Repeat. 4 times total. Then, warm the melted powder. Press your stamp on Versamark then on the metallic paper. Hold there for a few seconds then remove. Your stamped impression should look like embossed metal. warm the melted powder then repeat as many times as you want. If you want more detailed instructions on the whole card, etc. let me know and I'll email them to you. Smooches, Enjoy!

October Stamp Group Project - Pumpkin Card

Pumpkin Card - Embossed in black on vellum. Then, colored with markers on unembossed side. Torn across bottom of vellum to give a rustic look. Attach to Mustard cardstock at top under scored lip. Punch two holes at top with 1/4" punch. Then, color black and white ribbon with markers in matching colors. Tie Bow. Stamp sentiment. Attach mustard to artichoke cardstock. Stamp artichoke with leaves along scored edge.

2008 World Card Making Day Contest

I've had a little bit of time to get into the craft room within the last few weeks. I made some cards for entry into the World Card Making Day Contest for Paper Crafts Magazine. I'm super excited about my entries. One of my goals is to be a published artist so, I'm hoping that this is where it begins. How amazing to open one of my favorite magazines and see my creations! I can't wait! The first card is my Mom's Birthday card made in her new favorite colors with a Sassy "Spoil Me" girl from my latest goodies from http://www.artchixstudio.com/ (Love their vintage art!) The next 3 cards are my entries. I tried to use various techniques but, I have a few favorites that I use often. I'm an edge rougher. I love the texture and dimension it gives. I used a few different punches on the cards. My new favorite addition to my cards and projects though is crepe paper. I'm having so much fun folding, attaching, fanning, etc. with it. Try it on your next foo fee card. My Stampin' Up! Group meets this week so, I should have some fun pics to post from that. Smooches!

I'm in a monthly Stampin' Up! Group and we always make such fun stuff! These cards are called Flip Flop Cards. The middle is cut out and it is folded strategically so when you flatten it the middle section flips open. We made Halloween and Fall themed cards. On the Halloween ones we watercolored with pastels and on the fall ones we used ink daubers to give them a watercolored look. Very Cool! My demonstrator Kathy is very talented and she's always coming up with fun new ideas.
